Deborah Barnett (prefers Debbe) lives is Shamong,
NJ
with her husband Dave, two children, Paul, age 16 and Morgan, age 13
and their two dogs.
For the past sixteen years Debbe has been a
substitute teacher for grades K-8, specializing in special education.
She has an Associate Degree in Art from the Art Institute of
Philadelphia and is currently attending Thomas Edison State College
working on a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, concentrating her study
in psychology and social work.
Debbe has attended the Medford UMC all her life and
was very active in all areas of the church, having served as Lay
Leader, Missions chairperson, Sunday School teacher,
Co-Youth/Confirmation Leader. She has served on various
committees including SPR, Finance, Christian Education, and Administrative Council.
She pioneered a Migrant Worker outreach program in which she is still
active today. During 2001-2003, she served on the Capital
District Youth Committee.
Debbe enjoys art and people, is a Certified Lay
Speaker, and is currently preparing to become a candidate for ministry
in the UMC.
