There is a NEW mission starting at Epworth!
The Days for Girls organization is “dedicated to creating a more free, dignified, and educated world, through providing lasting access to feminine hygiene solutions and health education”.
Making hygiene kits involves sewing, cutting, tracing, ironing the parts and assembling the items. You are invited to come to our meeting on Thursday, October 8 at 6:30 pm to find out more about the project and how you can help.
Those attending are asked to bring the following supplies if you have them
- sewing scissors
- tape measure
- notepad & 2 pencils
If you have a portable sewing machine, please bring it and cord with you. The machine needles to be used are “microtex needles #80/12 ONLY. Only 100% polyester thread is to be used in the machines. And if you have a powerstrip, it would be greatly appreciated it. All other supplies will be provided. We would love for this new mission to grow, so feel free to invite a friend! For more information please see Reva Luce or contact the church office.
