"What's New" is an extension of our church bulletin board where all the latest
church happenings are posted.
SECOND NCD SURVEY to be taken Sunday, June 8th at 7pm. This survey
will measure all eight of the Quality Characteristics of a healthy, growing
church as well as progress on our specific emphasis on Passionate Spirituality.
30 surveys are required for statistical validity. All members selected to
take the survey will be contacted with an invitational letter; please make every
effort to take this survey.

YOUR GREATER N.J. ANNUAL CONFERENCE will meet at King of Prussia May
29-31. The theme this year will be "One in Spirit, All in Ministry."
Epworth's delegates are Pastor Sang-Won and Pastor Debbe, Dale Neas (elected Lay
Delegate), and Jo Malessa (Delegate at Large).

NOTHING BUT NETS CONTRIBUTIONS desperately needed to save the lives of
sub-Saharan children that die every 30 seconds from Malaria from this
preventable disease. Annual Conference has set a goal of $100,000, but
only $25,000 has been raised to-date. To make up the difference, they have
asked each local church to raise $100 (cost of one net) for each Annual
Conference attendee (Epworth has 4). All donations will be presented
during Annual Conference at the end of May. A Special Offering will be
taken on Sunday, May 18th. Thank you for your compassion and generosity.

FELLOWSHIP/HOSPITALITY TABLE now available in the narthex prior to both
Sunday worship services. The table will have hot water for coffee and tea
bags and baked goods. Cold drinks will be served on the Morgan St. lawn in
summer weather. We need volunteers so the workload will not be a burden on
anyone. Please sign-up in the narthex by the table. Set-up involves
filling the pot with water and plugging it in at 8:30am and putting out the
supplies of tea and coffee bags, sugar, coffee creamer, and baked goods if
supplied. Taking down is just unplugging the pot, putting the supplies
away, and cleaning up the area.

SUNDAY SCHOOL COLLECTING STUFFED ANIMALS for Iraq. Our SS is asking
for donations of "beanie baby" sized stuffed animals. They will be sent to
Iraq for our troops to distribute to children in crisis. Our children and
all who donate will have the joy in knowing that they have helped a child who
lives in fear and poverty, as well as having helped our troops build healthy
relationships with the community in which they risk their lives.

SUMMER CAMP BROCHURE NOW
AVAILABLE in the narthex; one brochure
lists both camps’ programs. One change this year is that the grades
referenced in parentheses are the grade the camper WILL BE ENTERING IN
FALL 2008; in the past it had been the grade completed. Please make
sure you look at the correct camps!
There are offerings from
1st grade to 12th grade and some family options are
available too. The younger kids (entering 1st, 2nd
or 3rd grades) have the option of attending for a half-week
(4 nights, 3 full days) at the Mini-Camp I or Mini-Camp II at
Pinelands Center.
Epworth will pay $75
towards each camper’s first week if they are a church member. If
financial hardship makes attending camp difficult, both Epworth and
the Conference offer money towards one week of camp, and possibly a
full week at the Hullitt camp week. If that is needed, make inquiries
early because the money does run out each year. If you need further
information, please contact the church office (856-829-1908) or Holly
Garemore (856-616-1950).

NEW LIFE NURSERY FUND DRIVE now in progress with a goal of $25,000 to
completely re-vitalize the nursery-toddler room and the SS room leading into the
nursery. This work is planned for summer '08. Contributions can
start anytime. For those who want to contribute over time, please fill out
a pledge card to allow our trustees to plan for this important work. Pick
up a
"New Life Nursery"
brochure in the narthex. Everyone's support is needed to make this happen.
Thank you for your faithfulness and generosity.
